Your cloud in your pocket — chat, files, auto photo backup, and push notifications.
The DotNetCloud Android app brings your entire cloud platform to your phone. Chat with your team in real-time, browse and share files, and automatically back up your photos — all connected to your own server, keeping your data private.
Built with .NET MAUI for a fast, native Android experience. Available on Google Play and F-Droid for users who prefer open-source app stores.
Instant messaging powered by SignalR. Channels for teams, direct messages for private conversations. Messages sync across all your devices — phone, desktop, and web.
Never miss a message. Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google Play build) or UnifiedPush (F-Droid build) delivers instant notifications even when the app is closed.
Automatically backs up new photos and videos from your camera roll to your DotNetCloud server. Your memories stay on your hardware — not in someone else's cloud.
Browse, download, and share files from your DotNetCloud server. Upload files and photos from your phone. Share links with external contacts.
View and manage your calendar events on the go. Create, edit, and respond to event invitations. Syncs seamlessly with the server and your desktop clients.
Access and edit your Markdown notes from anywhere. Full note browsing with folders, tags, and search — all synced across your devices.
Stream your music library directly from your DotNetCloud server. Browse by artist, album, or playlist — your entire collection in your pocket.
Chat messages are cached locally in SQLite. Read your message history even without an internet connection. Messages queue and send automatically when reconnected.
OAuth2/OIDC with PKCE — industry-standard secure login via the system browser. Tokens stored in Android Keystore for hardware-backed security. Supports MFA.
Access your calendar, notes, contacts, and music — all from the same app. More modules are being added to the Android client with every release.
Choose your preferred store, or sideload the APK directly.
Automatic updates. Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications. The standard distribution for most Android users.
Fully open-source build. Uses UnifiedPush instead of Google services. Perfect for privacy-focused users and de-Googled devices.
Download the APK from GitHub Releases and sideload it manually. For testing, development, or devices without a store.
Download APKDownload from Google Play, F-Droid, or sideload the APK. The app requires Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later.
Open the app and tap "Add Server". Enter your DotNetCloud server URL
(e.g., https://cloud.yourdomain.com). The app verifies the connection
before proceeding.
You'll be redirected to your server's login page in the system browser (OAuth2 with PKCE). Log in with your username and password. If MFA is enabled, complete the additional step. The browser returns you to the app automatically.
Go to Settings → Auto Upload and enable photo backup. Choose whether to upload over Wi-Fi only or also on mobile data. New photos are automatically uploaded to your server in the background.
You're connected! Chat with your team, browse your files, and receive push notifications. The app maintains a background connection via a foreground service to keep you in sync.
The notification delivery method depends on your app distribution source.
